January In Indianpolis

As I'm writing this, I have Michael McIntyre's video (People who have don't have children just don't know) playing as I can hear my daughter talking to someone on my phone, whilst seeing it snowing outside. Whoever you are, I hope you are enjoying listening to my daughter say random things to you while blaring Super Why. I slightly hope you are a telemarketer and that it bothers you enough to take my number off your calling list.

So far our January has been filled like most peoples... full of sickness and exhaustion. We are getting ready for Micah's 4th birthday in a few weeks and that always pumps me full of energy. In the McCall household we try to make the best of birthdays. No school. No work. Just a day all together to celebrate. Some might disagree with how we celebrate, but that's how we like to do it. It's one day where we can all celebrate that person's past year and celebrating their year to come. With Micah, it's always an exciting time, because we can look back at the past year and see how far he has come. Honestly though, there are hard moments for me, especially when it comes to making his cake... because again this year we haven't quite gotten to him being able to stomach solid food... so things like a birthday cake which he can't and won't eat, kinda gets to me at times. But one day he will. One day we're going to have to tell him that he's had enough cake.

You know that moment when you hear your kid doing something that sounds like something they shouldn't be doing. I'm slightly afraid to go look.

Wait for it.......

Yeah it didn't seem too bad walking up.. and then I got up close. I wanted to give you that same feeling. MWAHAHAH!! (insert better evil laugh). You can't see the juice she took from my glass and poured onto the table which also spilled onto the floor. She got the scissors from taking our cooler out of our pantry and pulling it to the counter to stand on top of, in order to get into the drawer where our scissors reside. So awesome. I love the creativity that my kids possess, but sometimes I HATE IT.

OH! Micah hasn't been able to move over to full time schooling yet because there are no current openings at the center we were hoping he'd be able to go to once January hit.. so we're still waiting on that.

I guess that's about it for our January. Not too much has happened except sickness and recovery.
